The Girgis Circus (publicly known as I Forget, Sorry! Management) was launched in 2009 by Luke Girgis as a means of formalizing the business arrangement between friends and fellow artists who were already actively engaged in the creation and performance of music. What was initially a small operation developed out of necessity, now has acquired a stable of growing independent musicians including Mind Over Matter, Chance Waters, Coptic Soldier, Jon Reichardt and Johnny Utah.
Driven by the firm belief that independent and self reliant artists are the future of the music industry, I Forget, Sorry! Management operates in total collaboration with artists and strives to tailor an approach which capitalizes on the image and personality of the individual act. Working exclusively with independent artists, the mission statement of I Forget, Sorry! Management is to enable artists to develop a future proofed career founded on the personal connection of fans and supporters.
In only a few short years this pragmatic yet personal approach has paid impressive dividends. Along with establishing a rigorous touring schedule for the roster and securing an impressive resume of support slots, the artists have seen constant successes across the gamut of the Australian music industry. From being the first unsigned artist to crack the Hot 30 Count Down (HR King – #12) to blitzing Triple J’s Unearthed with Featured Artists positions (Chance Waters/Elgen & Johnny Utah), Spotlights (Mind Over Matter/Chance Waters/Coptic Soldier), Competitions (Elgen & Johnny Utah, Chance Waters, Mind Over Matter) and Radio Play, I Forget, Sorry! Management has proven its dedication to developing sustainable and positive careers for its artists.
